Previous Leap of Faith Seminars
August, 2011: OSOT America in partnership with the Army Golden Knights, held the second “Leap of Faith.” This two day seminar for families of fallen troops encourages life on the other side of grief and loss and teaches principles of courage, trust, letting go and building community. On day two of the seminar the attendees have the option of taking a literal “Leap of Faith” with an Army Golden Knight. The seminar was a wonderful success by all measures and we continue to be inspired by the strength of our families. 15 attendees took a “leap” at 13,000 feet while all of the participants found a way to commit to their own “leap”! Please Click Here for a great YouTube video of the event.
February, 2011: This two day seminar began through a partnership with OSOT America and the US Army Golden Knights as a way to bring hope and healing to families of fallen service members.
Day one of the seminar teaches families to explore the other side of grief and loss and to learn how to live life with joy, conviction and passion in a way that honors the sacrifice of their family and loved one. On day two the group moves out to the drop zone where those who choose will participate in a literal “Leap of Faith” in the form of a tandem sky dive with the Army Golden Knights. Not all who attend the seminar choose to participate in the jump but all are encouraged to discover their own “Leap of Faith” and commit to taking it. The key principles of the seminar are how change happens, living fully again and moving forward into a “new normal”.
The seminar is held twice a year, in Chicago in August and Homestead Florida in February. For more information on Leap of Faith contact goldstar@osotamerica.org.
