DONATE STOCK TO OSOT-AMERICA

We’ve partnered with Stock Donator to accept a new type of donation! Stock Donator provides a secure, fast, and simple web-enabled service to donate publicly traded stocks to various organizations.  Here’s How It Works:

 

  1. Individual donors log on to www.stockdonator.com and enter the information required to donate stock.
  2. Stock Donator collects all entered information and generates the required forms to send onto the Donor’s Brokerage Firm.
  3. Some firms may use Medallion Signatures (MS) as an additional means to validate the donation request. If so, that will be handled.
  4. Stock Donator receives the stock donations from the Donor’s Brokerage Firm.
  5. Stock Donator provides the stock proceeds net of any fees and service charges to the receiving organization, based on the organization’s preference to either liquidate immediately or transfer the stock.
  6. To complete the process, Stock Donator provides the Donor with the transaction receipts needed to claim the tax deduction for the stock donations.

MONETARY DONATION VIA DAF–Donor Advised Fund

Donor-Advised Funds are the fastest-growing giving method and tax-efficient way to manage charitable donations. Donor-Advised Funds allow donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the fund over time.

Grants made to Operation Support Our Troops-America through Donor Advised Funds help us to support the morale and well-being of American forces by providing comfort, resources, and education to them and their families both while they are deployed in harm’s way and after their return. As a volunteer-based nonprofit organization, we provide the opportunity for our community members to express their appreciation and offer support for our troops. Engaged in the longest war of our country’s history and with our servicemen and women completing multiple tours of duty, we are committed to showing them that “We Have NOT Forgotten.”

Vehicle Donations are a unique and impactful giving option that helps Operation Support Our Troops-America continue our mission of supporting our military community.

OPERATION SUPPORT OUR TROOPS-AMERICA PRIVACY POLICY

OSOT-America is committed to respecting the privacy of our donors. This privacy policy has been developed to ensure our donors that their private information will not be shared with any third party.

OSOT-America provides this Donor Privacy Policy to make you aware of our privacy policy, and to inform you of the way your information is used. We also provide you with the opportunity to remove your name from our mailing list, if you desire to do so.

Information Collected

The following are the types of donor information that we collect and maintain:

  • contact information: name, organization/church, complete address, phone number, email address;
  • payment information: credit card number and expiration date, and billing information;
  • shipping information: name, organization/church, complete address;
  • information concerning how you heard about OSOT-America;
  • information you wish to share: questions, comments, suggestions;
  • your request to be removed/exempt from receiving periodic updates; e.g., periodic mailings related to specific fund-raising appeals, and newsletters.

 

How Information is Used

OSOT-America uses your information to help you complete a transaction, communicate back to you, and update you on the organization’s happenings. Credit card numbers are used only for donation or payment processing and are not retained for other purposes. We use the comments you offer to provide you with information requested, and we take seriously each recommendation as to how we might improve communication.

How Information is Stored

Your pertinent information is stored on our organization’s password protected database which is accessed only by the OSOT-America Staff.

No Sharing of Personal Information

OSOT-America will not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to other organizations. We assure you that the identity of all our donors will be kept confidential. Use of donor information will be limited to the internal purposes of our organization and only to further our mission, activities, and purposes.
