G.I. Yoga

FREE Yoga Classes to Veterans and Their Family Members

Yoga is a Powerful Agent of Change, and Not Simply a Form of Exercise. Within a safe community of fellow veterans and their family members, you will learn practices to release stress, sleep better, ease aches and pains, lower blood pressure, increase strength, flexibility, balance and focus, and develop tools to help manage the symptoms of PTSD and TBI. This is your chance to discover the benefits of yoga: vigor and vitality, balance, peace, and a sense of well-being. No prior experience is needed.

*Mats, blocks, straps and blankets provided. Just show up!

**IMPORTANT UPDATE**

Hello GI Yoga Friends!

As the situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) has changed significantly over the weekend we have made the decision to suspend our G.I. Yoga Program effective today, March 16th. We do have a YouTube channel that you can access below and attend class virtually. We will keep you posted as soon as we have updated information on when in person classes will resume.
CLICK HERE to view the G.I. Yoga You Tube Channel (to subscribe-click on the link and then click on the red Subscribe button- you may have to select a video first).
A few friendly reminders: 1. Wash your hands. 2. Don’t touch your face. 3. If you don’t feel well, stay home. 4. Take your immune system and loved ones into account.

But keep in mind healthy habits are important!
Practice good sleep hygiene, eat healthy food, get exercise and fresh air! Don’t watch too much news, it can be stressful. Let me know if you are interested in Meditation-I have a ton of suggestions!

We are cleaning all of the yoga equipment, I’ve included a recipe for home-made yoga mat spray.
Yoga mat spray:
1 cup Water
1/4 cup Vinegar
10 drops tea tree oil
15 drops lavender oil
5 drop eucalyptus oil
